ABOUT STARoundtable
What is the STARoundtable?
The Strategic Talent Acquisition Roundtable (STARoundtable) is a membership-driven community of corporate and organizational recruiting and staffing leaders working together to improve and enhance their own internal recruiting and staffing capabilities. STARoundtable offers unique, professionally facilitated, regionally-based networking and learning roundtable sessions by and for members solely within that region as well as providing access to powerful shared tools, templates, and research on issues related solely to organizational talent acquisition. The STARoundtable also produces a limited number of public workshops (open to non-members), designed to help advance the profession of recruiting and staffing leadership.
Background
The STARoundtable was created to fill a gap in the way corporate and organizational recruiting and staffing leadership network with one another and gather and align new ways of thinking to their internal recruiting and staffing organizations. While there are several other formal and informal networking resources available to the recruiting and staffing community, there were few that were aligned regionally, that is networking and learning from individuals in the same or nearby communities. In addition, other formal facilitated roundtables and networking groups available to the profession often only focus on large, publicly-traded corporations, often avoiding engaging with mid-sized and smaller firms (both public and private) which may have unique processes, tools, or ideas that could be shared. The STARoundtable concept was created as a way to fill these niches:

The STARoundtable concept was created as a way to fill these niches:
- To offer high-quality, professionally facilitated roundtable meetings in a regional format (members from the regions, meet with other members from the region, in the region).
- To provide invitation-only membership to organizations of all-sizes and ownership structures, and to allow several representatives of the same member organization to participate in any of the membership programs.
- To offer a network to share organizational recruiting and staffing-related tools, templates, and research both driven by the membership and developed by STARoundtable commissioned research.
- To provide these resources at a very reasonable cost (fractions less than other formal membership roundtable organizations).
