John Vlastelica is a Principal at Riviera Advisors, a highly specialized Management Consulting firm specialized in helping companies improve and enhance their internal recruiting and staffing capabilities. John draws from over a dozen years of corporate recruiting leadership and consulting experience to help his clients. He's held recruiting leadership roles - ranging from Technical Recruiting Manager to Director of Recruiting Programs - with Amazon.com and two divisions of “Best Company to Work For” award-winner AT&T Wireless. Prior to joining with Riviera Advisors, John led Recruiting Toolbox, a consulting firm focused 100% on helping companies improve their in-house recruiting capabilities. He's provided training and consulting services to high-tech start-ups, established technical leaders, and large Fortune-500 companies.
John has shared his expertise with colleagues as an entertaining and credible presenter at regional and national recruiting conferences, as an author of work published in two books on staffing best practices, and as 4-term President of The Society for Human Resources' (SHRM) Employment Management Association of Seattle. John has also served several terms on the board of Washington State's largest SHRM chapter, the Lake Washington Human Resources Association. He graduated magna cum laude, and first in his class, with a degree in business from Western Washington University. John is based in Seattle, Washington.
